Setting up your Sierra log in for new holds templates

1. Launch Sierra Desktop App and sign in using your Sierra log in credentials.

2. Select Admin in the top navigation bar, then choose Settings.

3. Select the Print Templates tab. In the Output Type dropdown, select Transit Slip. In the Preferred Templates box, select the old template and click the right arrow in the center to move it to the Other Templates box. Now select CALSnew and click the left arrow to move it to the Preferred Templates box.

4. Click Save Settings at the bottom of the window. 

5. In the Output Type dropdown box, select Holdshelf Slip. Follow the steps from Step 3 to change it to the new template.

6. Click Save Settings at the bottom of the window.

7. In the Output Type dropdown box, select Item Page List and click the Use Print Templates box. Click CalsPageV2 and click the left arrow to move it to the Preferred Templates box.

8. Click Save Settings at the bottom of the window. Click OK to close the window.

Saving Sierra Printer Settings

The following steps will need to be completed under your Sierra log in on a computer with a sticky receipt printer attached to it.

1. Navigate to File > Select Printer > Print Templates.

2. In the drop-down menu next to Select Output Type choose Holdshelf Slip and click OK. Make sure the sticky printer is selected and click Print to save.

3. Follow steps 1 and 2 again, but choose Transit Slip and make sure the sticky printer is selected.

4. Navigate to File > Select Printer > Standard Printer. When the Select Standard Printer pop-up box opens, select Local Printer. Make sure the printer you want to use for Paging Lists is selected. This will typically be the staff Toshiba, or a workroom printer. Click Ok to save.

PLEASE NOTE: Printing paging lists requires a special permission. If you do not have the permission, consult with your manager and open a ticket with IT, CC'ing your manager asking for the permission. Be sure to let us know that your manager gave the OK.
