How do I create a program icon on my desktop? Print

Click Start, point to All Programs, and then right-click the program you want to create the shortcut to.

Point to Send to, and then click Desktop (create shortcut).

For example, if you want to create a shortcut to Microsoft Word 2010, to find that program, click Start, and then point to All Programs. Right-click Word 2010, point to Send to, and then click Desktop (create shortcut).
