A support ticket is created when a staff member fills out a support request for and submits it to IT through the IT Help Desk portal. Support tickets are then used by the IT staff member to troubleshoot with the department member that has created the ticket. Communication can be through email or directly though the Freshdesk portal. Once the issue has been resolved the ticket will be closed.
